Talbots is another US brand i would like to report on. I did not visit a Talbot store during my visit; however after recently researching US brands I found the brand to be very interesting and exciting. Talbot’s is a speciality retailer that sells only women’s clothing, shoes and accessories. The brand is well known for its Trench Coat, iconic white shirt, pearls and ballet flats. These iconic pieces illustrates their consumer profile, a working and independent woman. Their clothing is at a mid market price range aiming at career orientated women.
I like the brand Talbot due to its individual consumer, its speciality pieces and its identity as a brand. I feel the brand is very strong to aim at only women and their stance to make every women feel beautiful is a great way to sell and market their brand. Another reason I have researched this brand is due to their recent connection with Michelle Obama who has been seen wearing Talbot clothing. She represents stylish and sophisticated fashion for women, and is the perfect representative for a chic brand like this.
